Welcome Home, Daddy is an inspiring book written for wives and mothers. It invites the reader into the home of Lorrie Flem. She shares with the reader ideas on how to make a home cozy and inviting for Daddy as they come home from a day of work. The hours between dinner and bedtime are precious hours to share as a family.
Lorrie talks about giving up a career, and how it is sometimes hard to do. She says, "What we give up now is nothing in comparison to what He is prepared to give us."
Lorrie uses humor and real life stories along with scripture to bring light to being a wife, homemaker, and mother. She offers another way of thinking about our tasks as wife, mother and housekeeper other than the blah, hum drum thoughts we tend to get. She presents joy, happiness, and contentment in a way that woman can relate to.
The author gives ideas to allow your kids to help and to enjoy pleasing Dad and guests. She gives ideas on how to make life simple but peaceful. Truly a manual for women that want to put God first in everything they do in order to have a peaceful, loving environment in their home.
I really have enjoyed reading this book and I plan on reading it again and again to remind me of how precious my work is.
