The subtitle to this book is: Teaching your kids to make good decisions even when no one is looking.

This Christian book focuses on character building and not on outward behavior modification. It deals with the deep issues of the heart. The eleven chapters take you through three levels and six stages of maturity in Christ. Each chapter ends with a summary of its key points. The 15-page study guide located in the back of the book corresponds to each chapter, making it a very easy to follow, enjoyable read.

Throughout the book Ms. Moore gives us examples from the Bible to highlight the various levels/stages of Christian maturity. I found this very helpful.

Ms. Moore not only deals with children and the levels of maturity, but also how we as parents should examine our own behaviors and motives to spot when we are dealing with life at a level that we may have gotten stuck in. Perhaps our needs were not met in a certain area, and we find ourselves dealing with life issues in a less than desirable way. She discusses how important we are in shaping our child's character and how we can cooperate with Christ in raising morally mature children.
