The Math Worksheet Site Review by Christine Field
Scott Brycehttp://themathworksheetsite.com/
An endless supply of math worksheets right at your fingertips, for a minimal price. That's what you'll find at this bountiful web site.
When the Bryce's oldest daughter was learning addition, Scott Bryce drilled her facts using a simple macro he created in Word that would generate worksheets for her daily use. While creating these initial sheets, he made the program create sheets in a broad range of problems. Word got around their homeschool support group and people began asking for a copy of this program.
Initially, the Bryce family offered this service for free on the Internet. But it grew so quickly and traffic to the site increased so dramatically that they had to upgrade their hosting service three times in one year! At that point, they began to charge a small fee for a subscription to the site, although several sheets are still available for free.
There are 138 different titles in the subscriber's area! Titles are available in categories ranging from early education, telling time and place value to radicals and the Pythagorean Theorem. You are able to set parameters for each sheet, number of problems, etc. You can click on another tab to access story problems for addition, subtraction and reading graphs, charts and forms.
This is a terrific tool to allow you to create what you want, when you want it and how you want it. It can be used to supplement a curriculum you already use, or free you from a curriculum when you want to focus on drilling essential topics.
This is for multiple ages with multiple options. Homeschooling is about choice. This fabulous web site greatly expands the math possibilities for our families.
