Martha Greene just keeps putting out GREAT stuff! The latest is The Family Recipe Keeper! This farmhouse plaid, gorgeous hardcover book is filled with parchment paper pages that hold family information (all the great cooks of the family, and future ones too), and heavy duty parchment tabbed section divider pages. These include: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Breads, Company, Desserts, Holidays, Cookies, Preserving, and Keepsakes. This will help you to divide all those special and treasured recipes past, present and future!

The recipe (or "receipt" as it was known back in "the day") pages are laid out beautifully, with plenty of room to write (lined pages or unlined are available) and record where the recipe came from, serving suggestions, and more. The Family Recipe Keeper comes with plastic page protectors. You can also get matching specialty recipe cards in the pretty farmhouse plaid with vine-floral border, extra dividers (embellished with artwork, but without a title so you can write in your own), or extra recipe pages. She has thought of it all! She even thought of a heavy duty envelope, "The Keeper Pocket," that we can put recipes in, when we're in a hurry if we don't have a moment to write them out nicely in the book, so they don't get lost or forgotten!

One of the things I love about Martha's books and how she puts them together is she always leaves room for personal pictures, notes and more to make the book into a keepsake, a treasure to be passed on! Along with her quotes and those of others The Family Recipe Keeper has a real old fashioned style. My daughters' hope chests are already beginning to be filled with these lovely, special books from Marmee Dear!

This is a treasure for every Keeper at Home, a lovely gift, and a special memory book for our children. You have my definite recommendation!
