Alphabet Alley has created some high-quality products for young children! "Smart Fun for Little Souls" is the tagline on all their products, and they are so right! They offer a variety of products to teach little ones about the Bible as well as "the basics" (ABCs, etc.). (We had the privilege to review a few things from their product line; look for more reviews on this site!)
We reviewed the Boys of the Bible and Noah and the Ark wooden puzzles, and we were impressed by the high quality. Thick, solid-wood bases and pieces big enough pieces for even the littlest hands to grasp. These puzzles could easily work for the 9 month and older crowd.
The Boys of the Bible puzzle depicts Jonah and the Whale, Daniel in the Lion's Den, King Solomon, David, and Joseph. There is also a different texture of fabric somewhere on each puzzle piece (for example, the lion's mane and King Solomon's crown). Each piece in the Noah and the Ark puzzle has small (but chunky) pegs--again, easy for those little hands!
Under each puzzle piece is a full-color illustration, and the back of the puzzle board reveals the name of the Bible story and the book of the Bible it's found in. The Noah puzzle even contains some fun facts too! All in big bold print so that little ones can become familiar with the printed words of these classic Bible stories as well.
These puzzles are great for wee ones. They would make fantastic gifts and would provide a way for older siblings to sit and play with younger ones, all the while teaching truths in a way little ones can understand. I can't think of anything negative to say about these adorable puzzles. Definite recommendation!
