Prairie Girl: The Life of Laura Ingalls Wilder Review by Hannah Kessler
By William Andersonhttps://www.harpercollins.com/
Prairie Girl was a very exciting and interesting book about the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder. What makes this book different is that Mr. Anderson gives background information about events in Laura's life that she wrote about in her books and also includes events that she did not write about at all. I think it is very interesting that he includes more information about her life than she chose to put into her books. It was written in a more biographical format than story format, but it was still very exciting. He wrote it in a way that made me want to read the next chapter to see what happened next. The hand-drawn black and white illustrations in the book were very well done and they helped me to see what he was writing about. The reading level is for ages 9-12.
“I liked this book, it was very exciting and I enjoyed it very much. It was very fun to hear my sister read it to me,” said my sister Abigail. I think he did an excellent job of writing this book and I enjoyed it very much.
