Ephesians 1:18-19 says, "I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and the riches of his incomparably great power for us who believe." [NKJV] This is just one of the Scriptures that Mr. Armstrong uses to encourage us that the world has indeed become a better place since the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and was resurrected into glory. It is interesting to note how many people believe the contrary, due to media negativity and worldly influences upon our minds.

I asked a few of my fellow believers in Christ whether they felt the world was becoming worse or better, and surprisingly their response was that the world was getting worse! When asked what they were using as evidence for this view, most said that all you had to do was pick up a newspaper or turn on the television to see how the world has become worse. I say to those believers, put down the newspapers and TV remote controls and pick up your Bible, along with Grove Armstrong's new book called The Kingdom That Is Transforming the World. Your pessimism will turn to hope as you realize that God wants His Kingdom to come and His will to be done not only in heaven, but also on earth (Matt. 6:10). And we (His body of believers, the Church) are a vital part of that plan."

One may say, "What about all the hostility toward Christianity around the world? If Christians are doing such a great job of bringing the gospel to all the nations, then why are so many opposing it?" In this 250-page, softbound volume, Mr. Armstrong gives solid Scriptural reference and exposition, along with historical evidence and current documented information, to prove that there will be no end to the increase of the Messiah's kingdom here on earth and in heaven and that opposition to Christianity is God's way of strengthening the "spiritual vitality of His people."

Homeschooling is just one of the ministries that Mr. Armstrong credits as being a "gift to the world from our gracious God." He further expounds on this statement by saying "they express God's love for the world's people in very tangible ways: in the gospel--written or spoken, in food and clothing, and in face to face exchanges." Ministries like home education are just a facet of what God is doing to increase His kingdom through Christ Jesus.

I strongly encourage you to read this life-changing, hope-breathing book. It will not only challenge false ideologies, but will also encourage every believer to continue walking forward in the call of Mark 16:15 to "go ye into all the world and preach the gospel."
