This is a wonderful book, one that will be requested over and over again, guaranteed! The Sleepytime Ponies are not your ordinary ponies! They fly along with Katie, Ben, and their mother to interesting and exciting places. In this adventure, it's Thailand!
We start the adventure in Sleepyvale, at the foot of Lullaby Mountain, you know, where the Sleepytime Ponies live! This story takes Katie, Ben and Mother into Thailand in pursuit of Mouse Deer, a favorite Southeast Asian folktale character. Along the way, they stop at a floating marketplace, make their own kites, and learn about the culture of Thailand (language, foods, people) all the while pursuing Mouse Deer.
This is an excellent bedtime story (or anytime, for that matter - the children love it!). The story is unique, charming, entertaining and educational. The book itself is hardcover with dust jacket, 32 pages, and the illustrations are beautiful, so dreamy, and colorful! Sweet dreams are sure to follow these delightful stories!
