Many people have painful childhood memories that can make it difficult to maintain a positive outlook. In Wounded Hearts, Broken Minds, JM Kane covers the foundational truths of being in a relationship with God. He discusses at length the many ways we are bound by negative experiences. Without the freedom found in our relationship with God, these situations are likely to keep us bound. The author discusses the liberation that can be found only in a commitment to God in our daily lives.
This book is written for anyone who is seeking encouragement through a deeper relationship with God. Homeschooling parents will be particularly encouraged by the author's remarks on the effects of compulsory education and the importance of having the choice to educate at home.
The perspectives in this book are one man's perspectives, so readers might disagree on some points. (For example, the author believes that divorce is wrong and remarriage is a sin.) However, the over-riding message of the book is one of realizing God's purpose for us and not allowing lies to keep us from living in the freedom we have through our intimate relationship with God.
