The Adventures of Cinnamon Persimmon is a wholesome fun 106 page book for children in the 8-12 year old range. It is about an adorable apricot-colored toy poodle puppy who, as a birthday gift, comes to live with her new family, the Atkins. Filled with laughter and fun, this book also teaches children how to care for and treat poodles. The author based the book on her love for her own toy poodles, Nutmeg and Mocha.

Christian principles are interwoven subtly throughout the book. For children who love dogs, this one is a "paw turner" as described in the September 2007 issue of Dog Fancy Magazine!

My twelve year old daughter said, "It was exciting to read how Cinnamon got into (and out of) her adventures. I especially enjoyed how it was told from the little dog's point of view." After her nine year old sister read it, she asked if the author had other books in the series; a sure sign she too enjoyed reading about Cinnamon. The author does have plans to continue writing in the future, a fact you'll be glad to know after you turn the last page. We describe the characters as the type you'll miss when you are finished reading the book!

Cinnamon brings so much joy to the family she lives with as well as to the neighbors and patients who live in Happy Valley. You can read the first chapter online at http://www.furrytailsbooks.com/chapter_one.pdf.
