Author Stephen Miller is a seminary-educated journalist and freelance writer. The fruits of his career include work for Reader's Digest Books and Christianity Today's Christian History magazine. In 1998, Mr. Miller wrote How to Get Into the Bible, a Genesis-to-Revelation handbook that quickly became a standard for personal Biblical study.
The Student's Guide to the Bible provides the dual benefits of a traditional Bible handbook plus topical guidance on contemporary life issues. My daughter (age 15), and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading and putting to use the contents of the study guide. My daughter has read it cover-to-cover at least two times. She loves the insight and the way the verses are related back to today's contemporary issues. She has also shared it with several of her friends and her teachers at our homeschool co-op. This study guide is well worth the low price of $9.95.
