Do you or someone you know need encouragement? Do you feel God is calling you to homeschool? Are people around you making you feel inadequate? Are your children driving you crazy? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, Home Sweet Homeschool: A Survivor's Guide to Giving Your Kids a Quality Education is a must in your homeschool library.
The author, Sue Maakestad, is a veteran homeschool mom. She taught all eight of her children through high school. All of them went on to college. All of them serve the Lord. Home Sweet Homeschool is a book full of encouraging words. Sue does this with her down to earth and humorous personality, just what homeschool moms need!
There are two things I really love about this book. The first one is the "Lifesavers" at the end of each chapter. Here we are given biblical lessons with scripture to back them up. The second is the fourfold plan for success: Show-Up - Look-Up - Hush-Up - Put-Up! (For an explanation, read the book!)
Home Sweet Homeschool is filled with Godly wisdom from a lady who has traveled the road we are traveling now. This is one of the best homeschooling books I have ever read!
