Finger Plays and Foot Plays for Fun and Learning is a fun CD filled with 12 songs. Some of the songs are old favorites that you might have sung in your childhood, and some are new, easy-to-learn songs. There are instructions inside the music booklet on how to do the finger and foot plays for each song.

While this product was not created specifically for homeschooling, you could easily incorporate it into your music time or some other fun time during your day. It could certainly work well for any homeschool philosophy, and I think any child would enjoy this CD. We did not use this specifically during our homeschool time but rather as a CD the kids could listen to at will. I taught them the finger and foot plays, and they took it from there.

My kids and I liked this CD, but it was not one of their favorites. They enjoyed the movement and dance that the CD encouraged, and I really liked that they were learning some of the songs from my childhood such as "Pease Porridge Hot" and "I'm a Little Teapot." Some of the old songs had some fun new twists to them, like encouraging the teapot in "I'm a Little Teapot" to make different shapes.

The only thing I could say would be a slight improvement with this CD is if they would repeat some of the songs a couple more times before switching to the next one. You just get into some of the songs and it's time to stop!

While this was a fun CD, I would not say it's a "must buy." For the price, I think you could certainly get a better quality CD.

Another review:

Finger Plays and Foot Plays is a CD of songs that involve hand and body motions. The disc contains 12 tracks and has a running time of approximately 25 minutes. Included are old favorites such as "Where is Thumbkin?" and "Two Little Blackbirds" as well as some tracks that were new to me.

The music is fun and inviting. This CD is a great way to involve children in music while working on fine motor skills and language development. It could also be a useful tool for English as a Second Language classes.

My four-year-old and one-year-old daughters enjoyed Finger Plays and Foot Plays. The preschooler in your home will likely be delighted as well.
