The Show and Tell Bible DVDs are an illustrated reading of the Bible for children. The Books of Moses, the first volume to be released, is 115 minutes long, and it sells for $17.99. The production company is hoping to release four more volumes covering the rest of the bible, but I was unable to find when these are scheduled to be released.
The first five books of the Bible are covered in this first volume. There is a picture every 7-10 seconds illustrating the narration. The illustrations range from cute cartoon pictures (some with simple animation) to real-life pictures and maps. The narrators alternate between stories, with 11 total narrators. I didn't think the narrations were of very high quality. They were simply someone reading from a script without much difference in tone of voice. My children didn't seem to mind, and they learned a lot from watching this DVD.
On the main menu you can choose from the five books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. After you choose one, you are taken to a scene selection screen with pictures of the different passages available to watch.
There is an additional Activity book that you can purchase for $3.99. I received this to review as well. It is a small book with 60 pages and an answer section at the end. The activities include questions and answers, crossword puzzles, mazes, and dot-to-dots. It was good to use for some follow-up after my children watched the DVD.
This DVD is intended for ages seven through adult; however, my two-year-old enjoyed sitting down with my older children while they watched. The Show and Tell Bible DVD has been a welcome addition to our home. My children have really grown in the knowledge of the Bible from watching the DVD.

This product is a DVD and a book. The DVD covers the first five books of the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. Essentially, it goes through each chapter and verse and shows a series of pictures and clipart to illustrate the narrative. The narrative is almost entirely scripture with the narrator adding a few other explanations here and there. The extra is kept to a minimum. The DVD says it is for ages 7 through adult, but our 4 year olds liked it. And it truly can be for adults because I enjoyed it. The book has activity pages that go along with the narrative. The book is 5” x 7-1/2”.
I thought this was an absolutely inspired way to present the Bible to people. I expected a cartoon with dialogue that “dumbed down” the message. What I got was the scripture in its entirety presented in an interesting format that held my attention as well as the attention of the children. I am all in with playing scripture tapes for the kids as background sound, but this is much better. This gives them something to watch that they enjoy and they don’t even know they’re learning something. They are just feeling entertained. Win – Win!
I highly recommend this to all homeschoolers, grandparents, parents, Sunday School teachers, church nurseries, etc. This is a wonderful way to get that Word into our hearts. I’m sure we will repeat it every year in our homeschooling.
