These CDs are wonderful learning resources for preschoolers. Volume One has 25 songs, including such old favorites as "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes," "Five Little Monkeys," and "Ten in the Bed." Some classroom helps are "Days of the Week," "The Alphabet Song," and "Clean Up!" Volume Two has 23 entries, including "Count and Move," "One Potato Two Potato," "The Eensey Weensey Spider," "The Wheels on the Bus," "The Shape Song," "Counting Bananas," and more. Volume Three contains 25 entries, including "BINGO," "We All Fall Down," "Rain, Rain, Go Away," "Old McDonald," "Skidamarink," "The Months Chant," and more.
In addition to the fact that these are lively songs presented in a pleasing way, I was excited to find that the company website contained many resources for using these songs.
There is a listing of the songs on the website, and when you click on an individual song, you will be taken to a page of suggestions for using the song in the classroom. These suggestions might include printable worksheets that go along with the song, Activity Cards (printable), activities, the motions (when appropriate), and the lyrics. The lyrics are also on an insert in each CD. Along with the resources for each individual song, the authors provide other teaching/learning tips for use with preschoolers. I found the site very helpful.
My granddaughter loves these songs, and she learns the concepts presented very quickly because she loves to hear the songs over and over. I can enthusiastically recommend these CDs (buy all 3!) to anyone with a preschooler. They would also be helpful to children who are learning English as a second language.
