Kid Scoop is a company that makes education fun and provides encouragement for elementary kids to become actively involved in their communities. They create packets of weekly activity pages on an assortment of interesting topics. The packets can be downloaded and printed right from your computer, and they will provide your child with a great learning experience through games, puzzles, and other activities.

All lessons meet state educational standards and can be used alone or along with your local newspaper. My son and I had the privilege of reviewing three of Kid Scoop's award-winning packets: Talk About Teasing, Money Matters: What is Credit? and Love the Skin You're In! We incorporated these packets into our regular homeschooling schedule, but they would also make excellent after-school activities.

Each issue can be downloaded for $2.99 and comes with approximately 6 activity pages. The worksheets include a variety of activities, such as mazes, word searches, vocabulary builders, proofreading, and even writing prompts. A seventh page in each packet lists website and book recommendations that complement the issue's topic. We checked out several of the books listed in Love The Skin You're In!

To order Kid Scoop packets, you will need to go to the website and click on Shop. Then, click Go to the Download Edition Shop, and there you will see all of the packets that are available. Select the issues that you and your child are interested in and add them to your cart. All orders are processed through PayLoads using PayPal. If you'd like, you can download a free sample first.

Learning doesn't stop with the worksheets. The website offers resources for teachers, parents, and kids. For kids, the site provides games, jokes, weird facts, kid-friendly Web links, recipes, and even a place where kids can write and submit their own stories. With summer just around the bend, I will definitely be sending my kids here!

We really enjoyed Kid Scoop's activity pages. I recommend Kid Scoop to parents, teachers, and babysitters--anyone who needs to entertain kids! My children agree that they'd be great for summer, so I am planning to download several packets for when it's too hot to play outside.
