The Minute Math Electronic Flash Card is a great hand-held tool for memorizing math facts. Measuring 5.5" in height, it is a green plastic triangle that comfortably fits in the hands of a child. This portable flash card helps your child to practice addition/subtraction/multiplication/division facts. It will give your child the answer and one of the numbers. For example, your child is working on multiplication and the problem is: "40.... 5." The child then enters the number 8. There are three levels of difficulty and two quiz modes.
We tested this handy portable device with our first, fourth and fifth graders. (The suggested age range is 7-10, or grades 1 to 4.) It was a hit in our household! Each child could work on a different skill and level. They each liked it. As a former classroom math teacher, I would have suggested it for all of my students!
The Minute Math Electronic Flash Card is affordable at $14.99. I found it to be more likeable by the children and therefore just as effective as paper flashcards. I like that it has four different operations and three different levels. Our only problem with the device was the children leaving it on the couch after enjoying learning addition!
Learning Resources has done an excellent job creating an affordable product that will greatly improve students' math computation skills.
