Rules of the Road is an interactive DVD program offering state of the art, in home drivers training for teens. The 105 minute DVD has been honored by numerous organizations, including The Parents' Choice Awards. NBC and NPR have both featured interviews with the creator, Jamie Salvatori. I won't waste your time by giving you a play by play run down on what it teaches, go to the website and read the contents yourself. What I will tell you is that I was impressed by the technology available for under $50 that will improve a teens basic driving skills.

My daughters and I viewed the main portion of the DVD as well as the bonus sections. I enjoyed the 'In Case of Emergency' and highway patrolman commentary the most. My daughters said that they enjoyed the safety tips and multi-angle graphics the most. We agreed that teens everywhere would benefit from watching this DVD and taking the section quizzes.

Also included on the DVD is a printable teacher's guide. To access this feature you must have a DVD-Rom drive on your computer. I was not able to review this part of the program.

I think that Rules of The Road is a super addition to any drivers education program. As a veteran driver, I learned several techniques for becoming a better driver. Check with your state Department of Motor Vehicles to see if Rules of the Road fulfills your states drivers licensing requirements.
