I like to collect books for each holiday to have on hand as a homeschooling tool. Books for Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter are fairly easy to find, but finding stories about New Year's topics is a little more challenging. This book is a cute story about making a New Year's resolution. The illustrations are very nice, and the characters are cute.
Squirrel wants to know about making a New Year's resolution, so she consults all her friends in the forest on the subject. As squirrel helps the other animals with their resolutions, she develops one for herself.
Albert Whitman & Company's website sells this book for $16.99 and recommends it for ages 5-8 (grades K-3). This is a hardback book with 32 full-color pages. I think preschoolers and kindergarteners especially will enjoy this book.
