The Allowance Chart is a special one-week calendar that is bound like a book. Each day is one full page, and the pages are made so that you can use dry erase markers on them. (One marker is included.) You receive four pages of stickers along with your book. One page of stickers is chore ideas, one has dollar bills and a few five-dollar bills, and the other two pages are coins of varying amounts. There are also some sad and happy face stickers. First you decide how much money you want to give your child the option of earning each day and assign amounts to different chores. Place the stickers for the chores he is to do on each page and money stickers to show what he will earn for each chore. When chores are done, you can place a smiley face sticker beside them; place a sad face sticker if the child does not do the chore. There is a place to show what the total is that the child earned each day and a place for the child to write notes to himself or a parent to leave a note of encouragement. At the end of the book is a page where the child can write the goals that he is saving toward and keep track of his weekly earnings.
This is a wonderful way to keep track of chores, especially for very visual children because they are able to see exactly what they have done and how much money they are earning. This is something I would like to get a copy of for each of my children to use.
