Dale Recinella is a man who faithfully answered God's call on his life. After a prosperous career as a Wall Street finance lawyer, Recinella felt God calling him toward ministry. The book provides in-depth details of Recinella's first reactions to the smells and sights of death row, something most of us will never experience. He openly shares what it was like to attend the execution of a prisoner that he had ministered to. Even more profoundly, the book shows the human side of those incarcerated in our highest security prisons and their need for a Savior.

Due to the realities depicted in Now I Walk on Death Row, I would encourage parents to pre-read this book before sharing it with their junior high or high school students. Having read this work from cover to cover, I do not have any reservations in having my older children read this book. However, I am glad that I will be able to talk more with them as they process this part of society that is not part of their day-to-day life.

Dale Recinella served for over 20 years as a Catholic lay chaplain in the Florida prison system. His passion for the Lord and the lost crosses all denominational lines.
