Mike Fisher has played in the Stanley Cup finals, served as co-captain for the Ottawa Senators, and now plays for the NHL's Nashville Predators. He is certainly a "cool" hockey player, but an even cooler Christian. His faith is real and tangible enough for kids to latch onto.

This book can be used as a read aloud or as a read alone. It could be used for casual reading or as part of a language arts or character/Bible study curriculum. It is appropriate for one student or a class full of students.

While some students may only know Mike Fisher as Carrie Underwood's husband, this book will quickly show them that he is a Christian worth knowing in his own right, and that his motivation is to please God first, both on and off the ice. Right or wrong, celebrities have a way of influencing kids. However, in the case of Mike Fisher, it's not such a bad thing!
