This Christian novel is the basic story is of a man, a very extraordinary man, on earth for over 2,000 years, on a mission for God against an enemy that has been around for even longer. The characters include "the man," his last living descendent, a group of monks pledged to protect him, a possessed priest, and a Godly pope, The man does ultimately prevail finally getting his reward of resting with the Lord.

The very first paragraph grabbed the imagination and I was hooked. "Silently, ceaselessly, seven priests shoveled beside the death camp fence line. Their cassocks smudged the mist with spectral black silhouettes, dark shapes swaying in the gray twilight like a gathering of crows."

This is a classic story of good versus evil but with a unique and original twist to the plot. The action is fast moving and riveting with violence in the story that is necessary, but not overly graphic in its presentation. You will find yourself anxious to finish the story as it travels around the modern world with cloak and dagger. I would heartily recommend this book for a target adience of older teenagers and adults.
