A little bit of Christmas came early to our house when we received the audio book A Christmas Carol from Lifehouse Theater On-The-Air. I love a good book and the audio book of the classic A Christmas Carol novel by Charles Dickens does not disappoint. Audio theater has opened up a whole new world of listening for my family and I.
This CD is a two CD set that captures the audience just as the original story does. My children and I listened to this CD as we traveled a few weeks ago and it was complete silence in the van as everyone listened carefully to every detail. We hung on each word as Wayne R. Scott read and performed the timeless classic story. From Tiny Tim to Bob Cratchit, and the three spirts we were transported back to the timeframe of the story with as we witnessed the ruin and redemption of old Mr. Ebenezer Scroooge. As we hung onto each word, we were transported from past to present to future on an amazing journey of the joy of the season.
So, what’s the bottom line?! We love this CD! I would recommend this product to any of the other CD’s this company has to offer for anyone looking to add a bit of family friendly audio drama into the home. I can’t tell you how much we have loved this audio theater CD! At 107 minutes it is just long enough to completely tell the story but not become overly long.
With the holidays quickly approaching, I think this would make a great gift for any book lover and reluctant reader on your list. We have a mix of both in our family and this CD was received with great praise. I am hoping to add to my collection of stories this Christmas and will definitely be including a CD in each of my girl’s stockings as well as giving them away as secret sister gifts.
