Bears for Humanity makes quite possibly the cutest stuffed animals I’ve ever seen. They have four collections available on their website. The collection I will be focusing on for this review is the Animal Pals Collection. There are 13 different animals to choose from in the collection. Each animal is made with 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton and filled with recycled polyester which makes these stuffed animals hypoallergenic. The animals are stuffed and hand sewn in the United States with some shell assembly in India. These animals are 12” long and 4.5” wide and cost $25.

I received the Tiger and the Turtle. Their arms and legs are floppy; their bodies soft and squishy. The Tiger is a soft orange with a white belly and black stripes adorn its cheeks, arms and legs. Its s-shaped tail appears to be made out of a soft felt and the rounded white and black ears stand straight up on top of its little round head. A cute pink fabric nose sits between two embroidered eyes giving this tiger a sweet and cuddly appearance. The Turtle has a light almost minty green body with a thick fuzzy brown shell on its back. Its delightful face is only decorated with two black embroidered eyes. It is simply made but completely adorable. The modest approach to detail is what gives these animals their loveable character.

Now a little about the company of these great products. Bears for Humanity is dedicated to helping their community and the earth. One of the ways in which they strive to do this is by donating a bear, their signature product, to a child in need through trusted charitable organizations. Another way is obtaining a “supply chain that is organic and fair trade sourced” while also hiring at-risk men and women right here in the United States. So not only are they one of the few organic stuffed animal companies out there they are also a reputable and ethical organization.

The Tiger and Turtle are adorable stuffed animals. I love that the outer shell is made out of organic cotton. I also love that the company supports those in need in many different ways. I wish that the filling was not recycled polyester but that they also filled their animals with 100% organic cotton. In my opinion this one change would make this company and its products one of the best out there. The price for these stuffed animals is beyond fair. They are not small animals and being made sustainably and almost completely organic makes the price very reasonable. I would definitely buy an animal or two and recommend them to anyone looking for a soft, cuddly ethically made toy for their children.
