HORSEPLAY! is a fun-filled book for horse-crazy kids!

In chapter one, you’ll take a trivia quiz to find out if you’re an equine expert. You’ll also brush up on different horse breeds and learn about horse behavior. You’ll also learn the lingo for many parts of a horse; and stickers are provided to label each part of the horse. You’ll also learn about Western and English fashion, so when you’re ready to ride, you can saddle up in style.

In chapter two, you’ll have the opportunity to decorate your room with crafty horse things! My girls’ room is already decorated with a horse theme, and they still enjoyed this chapter by adding a pony pillow to their beds. My eleven-year-old had a lot of fun crafting a cute hobbyhorse—a vintage toy with a rag sock for the horse’s head. The book also includes Horsey Hangers to tell your family to hold their horses before they barge into your room; as well as a Pony Poster to color and hang on your wall.

In chapter three, you’ll be able to let your imagination run wild with the creative activities. You can learn how to draw a horse. You can make a Barn-in-a-Box. Or you can curl up with a good horse book using the colorful horse bookmarks to keep track of the page you’re on. The book includes a list of horse books to read. But the best part of this chapter is the horseshow braids. The book includes step-by-step instructions on how to create the beautiful braided manes you see at horseshows.

In chapter four, you’ll be able to round up your friends for a pony party! Horse around with some great horse games. Settle down with some filly flicks—the book includes a list of horse movies. Offer party guests a cowgirl drink using the festive party straws. And no party is complete without horse-themed nibbles like hay bales (crispy rice treats) and straw (pretzels). The book also includes stickers to seal off goody bags and stickers to create cupcake toppers for your cowgirl cupcakes.

If you have horse-crazy kids, you will want this fun-filled book! You are bound to have a galloping good time with these activities, crafts, games, and party projects!
