The Clean Basic Cool Seat Pad is a 3D mesh pad for strollers and car seats that allow air to circulate underneath the child within. This helps keep your child cool during summer months and warm during winter months. This works by allowing the cool air in or by recirculating the child’s body heat to keep them warm. The Manito Clean Basic Cool Seat Bad retails for $35.

The Clean Basic Cool Seat Pad is intended for use in either a stroller, or a car seat. Simply place the pad in the stroller or car seat underneath the child. This pad has slots for the stroller or car seat straps to go through and the elastic ‘S’ straps ensure a secure installation. Once installed, place the child on the pad and you’re good to go!

For the most part, I do like the Clean Basic Cool Seat Pad. It’s easy to install and does appear to keep my child cooler. The Pad comes in many neat designs and colors that make it appealing and for what the product is, I feel it is competitively priced.  However, it is not recommended to use anything in your child’s car seat that isn’t crash tested for that specific model and because of this, I did not install it in my child’s car seat.

After reviewing this product, I would recommend buying it for stroller use only. Because I could not find documentation of it being crash tested with my child’s specific car seat, I decided not to use it while driving. I recommend that the company post this information on their site for parents. Overall, I found the Manito Clean Basic Cool Seat Pad useful and felt it achieved the desired result in my case.
