Maze-O Review by Tyna Begley
Maze-O, LLC6497 Killdeer Dr.

Maze-O is a fantastic maze creation toy. It is made of hard plastic pieces that resemble puzzle pieces, with raised sides. There does not seem to be a way to purchase it on the Maze-O website, but Amazon has it for $29.87. There is also a Where to Buy link on the website, showing a list of dealers/stores in the United States that sells it.
The general idea of this toy is for children to create their own mazes. There are idea cards you can duplicate with the toy, but my children preferred to create their own shapes. Since the sides are raised, it makes an ideal marble track, a maze for Hexbugs, or ‘roads’ for Hot Wheel cars! One of my daughters prefers to just create shapes with it, like a person, or a car.
There are 52 plastic pieces, in bright red, blue, green and yellow. It also includes 30+ idea cards with mazes you can create. The pieces are large, so small hands can easily use them. I would say that children ages two and a half to 10 years old would enjoy this. It would be appropriate for either a boy or a girl.
It is advertised as a Stem toy. Educational benefits would include eye-hand coordination, problem solving, spatial reasoning, and critical thinking. It has received several awards, including Proto Labs Cool Idea award, 2017 Hot Diggity Award, and the Tillywig Toy Brain Child award.
The Begley Family children highly recommend this toy! They often suggest it as a gift for friends’ birthdays. My kiddos rate things on a ‘fine, good, or awesome’ rating, and this toy got Awesome!!
