What is it like to raise a child with special needs? Further, what is it like to home school such a child? The contributors of this book give us an accurate, inspiring, realistic and informative view of such a challenge. This unique book has the stories of individual families peppered throughout an information filled text. These families tell us how to begin, what to do in the pre-school and elementary years, teen and vocational training, therapy and adaptive technology, character development, IEPs (Individual Education Plan), the ministry of CHASK and frank talk about what it's like to raise a child with special needs.

What I love so much about this book is that it gives the big picture, but also gives little tips that could only be gleaned from experience.

The ministry of NATHHAN and CHASK is growing as they seek to meet a need. NATHHAN provides information and support for families home schooling special needs children. CHASK is a special organization dedicated to placing pre-born children who will have special needs. They deserve our prayers and support for their precious work.
