The Mobile Edge SmartPack Backpack has been an awesome addition to my daughter’s daily routine. When it arrived, she was thrilled to be the one to try it out. It’s called a SmartPack because of its “no-nonsense” design that “puts protection first.” Protection and insulation for one’s laptop or tablet yet with a sleek modern design that immediately caught the eye of my very modern 18 year-old. It is ergonomically designed with a padded back panel area that actually fits nicely on her back and holds all her items. The SmartPack is a carbon grey color outlined with black and lists for $59.99. There are eight other color choices to choose from and the dimensions are 16” x 8.5” x 18”.

From my daughter:
“My SmartPack Backpack has so much space! I’ve been using it for about a month or two and I have brought it on multiple day trips, and to work almost every day. It’s always had enough space for changes of clothes, chargers, tablets, laptops, phones, and anything random I’ve needed to bring for work. The side pockets are pretty big too. They’re made of a mesh/net fabric that has held up very well to daily use. The top handle is heavy-duty and strong. The shoulder straps are padded and made well to fit your body type comfortably. It has an integrated padded iPad/tablet pocket as well as a laptop protection compartment. It’s very light, weighing in at 2 lbs. Its overall look is sleek and stylish. Highly recommended!”

The material is heavy-duty and nicely made, and thick enough that you don’t have to worry if your pencil is sharp—it isn’t going through the backpack. There are three compartments that unzip from the top. The first is front-facing and is great for cords or snacks and other smaller items. Inside the second opening is a sewn-on panel for holding a cell phone, pens and pencils, and other items that need to be secured. The largest opening is the one she noted that has the integrated padded iPad/tablet pocket that will fit up to a 16” widescreen. This SmartPack is a sturdy well-made backpack that isn’t going to easily rip and will take a lot of abuse. It sits upright with anything in it and it’s attractive and modern to go along with my daughter’s personal style. As the mom, I love that it is affordable, but also well-made so that I don’t have to buy another one in two months’ time! I also really like that it is padded to protect her back as well as her possessions. I too highly recommend Mobile Edge, but especially the SmartPack Backpack.
