The Super Bouv Series, by Lee Ann Billings, and illustrated by Maegan Penley, is an adorable series about a pup named Ruby and all of her fun adventures while trying to find her place in the world. There are three beautiful, glossy hardback books in this series. Each book takes you through a new stage in Ruby's life. Ruby is afraid that no one will ever want her and she tries so hard to find a worthwhile job for herself so that someone will want her, and be proud of her. In the first book, Ruby and Her New Family, Ruby struggles with being the smallest pup of the litter and feeling like no one will ever pick her to be a part of their family. She finally gets picked to go home with someone and is super excited to become a championship show dog! When her new owner is told that she is just a little too short to qualify, he returns Ruby to her old home. Ruby is very sad and doesn't understand why she wasn't good enough, but she ultimately finds her perfect family. In the second book, Ruby and Her New Home, Ruby is thrilled to be a part of her new family, but can't quite figure out what her new role should be. Ruby helps to solve a mystery that will protect her new family! In the final book, Ruby and Her New Job, Ruby finally figures out just what her special job is! Even though Ruby is a dog, there are many lessons that we can take from these books and apply them to our children's lives. These books teach our children a lot about facing challenges, being brave, making a difference in someone's life and the importance of love. The current price for all three books is $14.95. The Super Bouv Series is part of a program called Books That Give. This program helps nonprofit organizations raise funds to provide assistance to people in need. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each book goes to support nonprofit partners.

The reading level of these books is intended for grades 2-3, but children ages three and up will love having these books read to them. My favorite thing about homeschooling is being able to cuddle up in a chair and read to my children. All children will love these books regardless of whether or not they are homeschooled. My son is three and he loves these books! I have literally never heard him laugh so much before while reading to him as he does when we read through these books. Each and every time we read one of these books, he is cracking up! These are definitely some of our favorite books to read. I think they may even be my son's all time favorite books! These books will continue to be much loved in our home for a long time to come.
