Made Of is a company that strives to be transparent in the ingredients it uses in all its products. I reviewed three of their products: Foaming Baby Shampoo & Body Wash, Foaming Hand Soap, and Foaming Dish Soap. Each product came in a white plastic bottle with a purple hand pump. All their products are fragrance-free and made from plant-based ingredients. They are also free of sulfates, phthalates, and parabens. In addition, Made Of products are certified Vegan.

The Made Of Foaming Baby Shampoo & Body Wash comes in a 10 Fl. Oz. bottle with a blue label and a whale on the front. Its ingredients are 77% organic with the main plant-based ingredient being calendula. It sells for thirteen dollars.

I used this with my baby and toddler. Because it is sulfate-free you do not get the foaming action that you would from other body washes, but I found that it still foamed enough to create a nice lather. My baby has sensitive skin and this was a very gentle soap that did not strip his skin of its natural oils. It did a respectable job of keeping my baby’s skin soft and clean. My toddler has long hair, so this did not work as a shampoo for her, but it was fine for my son. Even though it is free from artificial fragrances it did still have a light scent.

The Made Of Foaming Hand Soap comes in a 10 Fl. Oz. bottle with a blue label and a turtle on the front. Its ingredients are 81% organic with the main plant-based ingredients being aloe and rosemary. It sells for eleven dollars.

Once again, this was a very gentle soap that left the natural oils on our hands after washing. This helped to keep dry skin from repeated washes at bay. We also discovered that because this soap is free of artificial fragrances it worked nicely for hand washing before applying contacts. Where other soaps can leave a residue on hands that then transfers to the contact lens making them uncomfortable, this was not the case with Made Of Hand Soap.

The Made Of Foaming Dish Soap comes in an 18 Fl. Oz. bottle with a green label and a duck on the front. It is made from 81% organic ingredients with its main plant-based ingredients being coconut oil, aloe, and rosemary. The dish soap is also soy-free, nut-free, and non-GMO making it safe to use with those who have food allergies. It sells for nine dollars.

We used this primarily to wash our baby’s highchair tray, sippy cups, and utensils. However, it did occasionally get used for our regular dishes. Once again, because it is sulfate-free you do not have the foaming action of other soaps. This was most noticeable when filling a sink with hot water and soap to soak as you do not get the layer of bubbles. Despite that, we found that it still worked well in cleaning everything we used it for, and it did not leave any residue behind.

We liked all three of the products we received. I liked the transparency in the ingredients used and that they were free of harsh chemicals. If you are looking for mostly organic and natural baby products, then I would recommend the products from Made Of.
