I was able to review the BizyBeez MagStix Sensory Magnetic STEM toy set this summer. We received the set of forty-one which included metal balls and half balls, curved and straight magnets, wheels, a building platform that is magnetic and a storage bag. The set also came with a booklet that had project ideas.  These come in a mix of blue, green, yellow and red. All our children liked the colors and assortment of magnets we got.

I requested this because BizyBeez promotes this for children with sensory issues or problems like ADHD, ADD, etc.  Even though my son has not been officially diagnosed with this he presents many of the symptoms and I wanted to see if these would be a help to him.

First off, all our children loved these. They are the right size, so they are easy to handle and not extremely easy to lose. Their motto is "busy hands, quiet mouths" and this was certainly the case with our children (ages 8, 5, and 2).

They were able to build many of the projects just by looking at the pictures in the booklet. They also produced many of their own ideas. My son has built many trains with these so far.

The quality of the MagStix is fantastic. My children are not gentle on toys and yet not even one has been broken or damaged. The magnets are very securely fastened in place; however, it is still recommended that young children who put toys in their mouths not play with these. The magnets are quite strong and hold together well!

We used these as a quiet toy for my son and daughter while our older son was doing more intensive schoolwork. The MagStix kept the younger ones occupied nicely. The set also helped our older children learn about magnetic force, north and south poles, and some engineering skills.

The set is available on Amazon for $69.99 with free shipping. This makes an excellent gift for children who need to keep their hands occupied all the time and does it quietly. We also used these on car rides and visits to Grama's house.

I am extremely pleased with this set. It has everything that a great toy needs: quality, durability, and the ability to hold my children's attention and keep them calm while they are using it!
