Blu Track is a flexible, two-lane racetrack that offers endless opportunities for creativity, imagination, and hours of fun! Family-run and made in the USA, Blu Track's Fun and Physics Bundle includes everything you need to turn your physics lesson into an afternoon of entertainment and laughter. The 2X Bundle comes with two boxes, each containing two six-foot tracks, three race cars, one physics car, a water bottle and cap, eighteen track inserts in various colors and sizes, four anchor bars, two hanger pads with tape, two suction cups and a complete teacher's guide. The teacher's guide includes detailed instructions for two different methods of setting up your racetrack, along with helpful photo examples. The teacher's guide also provides five experiments you can try with your tracks, explained in detail with additional photo examples. The Fun and Physics 2X Bundle is available on BluTrack.com for $155.55. You can also purchase this bundle in 4X, 8X, or even more with a school purchase order!
In addition to the Fun and Physics 2X Bundle, we also enjoyed the All-Terrain Box. This box has a twenty-five-foot track that can be used indoors or outdoors. It also includes a hanger system with a suction cup and an anchor bar for creative set-up. The All-Terrain Box is also available on BluTrack.com for $85.00.
Both of my sons, ages eleven and two, are racetrack-building enthusiasts. Whether it's trains, matchbox cars, or something they've built out of blocks, they love to build and race. My youngest has acquired this passion from my eldest son, and they have a blast working and playing together. The Blu Track Fun and Physics Bundle provided ample opportunity to stretch our brain muscles and try new and exciting ways to turn an old hobby into something new and exciting. Using this as an opportunity to introduce some force and motion physics lessons into our day, we worked through all five experiments over time and had a wonderful experience doing so. The entire family got in on it, creating ramps, loop-de-loops, and other obstacles throughout our tracks. All four of my children agreed that the best part was experiment #3, during which we focused on launching our cars as far as possible. We held races for the longest and highest jump and even challenged ourselves to land a car in strategically placed bowls at the end of the ramp. The two-lane track is perfect for holding fair and fun races.
One of my favorite parts about the Blu Track systems is their flexibility. We used every material provided in the boxes and then began using household items to set up our tracks in new and different ways. We used books, beanbags, toys, kitchen items, and more to create new challenges for ourselves. Observing various items' differences in our tracks and the car's ability to make it to the finish line was fun. We even tried racing different types of vehicles we already had lying around the house, as well as marbles and bouncy balls. The teacher's guide was incredibly helpful in suggesting additional household items that could be useful for this activity.
Because of the convenient hanger system, we could set up these tracks virtually anywhere. We have a very tall entryway, which worked great for a steep track. By anchoring the track with the suction cup on a high window, our track could feed all the way down our entry hall and into the living room, with several obstacles along the way! Trying different environments was interesting, for example, comparing the stairwell inside to the porch stairs outside.
The inserts help stabilize your track; however, we found it difficult to attach them to all the tracks successfully. It seemed that they fit well on some but not on others. As we didn't use the inserts too often, this wasn't an issue for us, but those who intend to use them regularly for stabilization will need to perfect the art of attaching them. Aside from that, we found this track system incredibly easy and fun to use and will continue to bring it out for rainy day fun inside and races in the sunshine on lovely days. We have had friends and family over to visit who loved bringing out the Blu Tracks and sharing the educational amusement with us.
The Blu Track system is an excellent resource for family fun and learning. From the age of two years old up to parents, this racetrack system is sure to bring joy and excitement to all!
