Many homeschoolers rave about the "Sir Cumference" books. What storybook do you know of that teaches math concepts? There aren't that many! The best I've seen so far are Charlesbridge Publishing's Math Adventures. Some of the books they sent us for review are: Sir Cumference and the Great Knight of Angleland, Sir Cumference and the First Round Table, Sir Cumference and the Sword in the Cone, and Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi.

The mere titles of these storybooks sound intriguing, don't they?! The books are for all ages, perfect for unit studies. Beautiful artwork throughout; meet fun characters such as: Radius, Lady Di of Ameter, Sir D'Grees, Geo, Vertex, Sym of Metry, Sir Gawain, the Circumscribers, Sir Cumference (of course), and many others. Visit the Mountains of Obtuse, Angleland, and other adventurous places. Kids learn basic math concepts like measurement, diagrams, "pi" versus "pie," and so much more!

Another wonderful book published by Charlesbridge is The Making of a Knight. This reminded me of a DK book, only softbound. Learn all about what makes a knight: The Babees' Book, swords, armor, the melee, good horsemanship - it's packed! Boys will love it, but even my tomboy girl enjoyed it immensely. The artwork is stunning - not your regular illustrated book. The artwork is almost museum quality.

"My name is Paul and I am 14 years old. I had to do a study with my younger brothers on some of these books. Most of these books are very mathematical in nature, but they are entertaining as well. They present stories that are not only interesting, well plotted, and humorous, but are also educational. Homeschooling families would enjoy these books!" said my son Paul.

I am very impressed! Little homeschoolers everywhere will benefit from the whole series! Highly recommended!
