blog earth then and now

Earth has been around quite a while. Have you ever wondered how long? Evolution tells us one thing, while the Bible tells us another. Join John Riley as he looks at the evidence in Apologetics: Creation vs. Evolution. This brand new course for middle and high school students uses videos and printable text to support Creation and challenge evolutionary theory. Fourteen lessons look at hundreds of references from books, DVDs, magazines, newspapers, and websites, along with more than 100 Bible verses. The course also includes information from biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, astronomy, geology, history, paleontology, and oceanography. Are your students curious about the earth and all of the things that happen on it? Then Earth Science might be the class they are looking for. Dr. Roger W. Sanders leads students in grades 7-9 through 25 sessions in volcanology; seismology; paleontology; sedimentology; the biology, geology, physics, and chemistry of the oceans; the science of climate and weather; the atmosphere; the history of astronomy; telescopes and mapping the night sky; the sun; the planets; rockets and artificial satellites; origins of the universe; and plate tectonics. Each lesson includes a video lesson to watch, notes for the student to fill out as he/she watches the video lesson, and a study guide to complete to help the student study for the quiz.
