This Week at SchoolhouseTeachers ~ What’s New in Monthly Reading Lists, Special Needs, and Charlotte Mason Homeschooling
Michelle Miller takes us into the pages of some good books and on an adventure into nature with her new Monthly Reading List for June. From Apricot ABC to In Yards and Gardens, Michelle’s recommended reading list has selections for readers of any age. She also shows you how to break down these nature-themed titles into additional subjects including science, poetry, art, and cooking.
You know your child is struggling. You know there are technologies out there that might help. But when you try to sort through them all, you feel overwhelmed, confused, and totally lost. Special Needs teacher Judi Munday invites you to let her help you understand some of the options available. She will highlight the ones she has found to be the most effective and save you hours of confusing searching online. Her new series leads you through assistive and adaptive technologies to help your student be their very best at reading, math, and written language.
Is it possible to make composer study and hymn study both simple and fun? Charlotte Mason would have answered, “Yes!” and Schoolhouse Teacher Cindy West echoes that answer. Let Cindy show you how to incorporate composer and hymn study into your curriculum. Also this month, Cindy will walk you through nature study, handicrafts and life skills, and foreign language. Discover what elements of the Charlotte Mason style could work in your family, and learn some wonderful tips along the way.
