This Week at SchoolhouseTeachers ~ What’s New in Studio Art for Teens, a Sneak Peek at June, and the Teacher Archives

/ / Blog

Do you have a teen who is passionate about art? If so, check out Sharon Jeffus’ Studio Art for Teens! Come with Sharon as she teaches about balance, positive/negative space, contrast/chiaroscuro, and harmony. Be inspired by the work of other teen artists that you can see in the StudentArtGallery. Currently, our featured artist is 17-year-old Rachel Fetting.

Just wait until you see what’s new on June 3rd! Along with new content in dozens of classes, SchoolhouseTeachers.com is excited to unveil two new classes. Beginning on Monday, Nancy Blue will be teaching Beginning Violin to students, with printable materials and instructional videos. You’ll be surprised how soon you’ll be playing familiar songs. Plus, Nancy’s lyrics bring an extra-special element of praise to your lessons.

Also on Monday, I am excited to be launching my new Asia class—Asia: Trade Route Safari! Come along with Safari Saeed as we travel the Silk Road, the Spice Route, the Incense Road, and more! For our first month, we’ll explore China, Vietnam, Brunei, and Malaysia while we have fun with writing, spelling, vocabulary, geography, Safari science, and Friday Factoids.

Have you explored our Teacher Archives? We have past lessons in almost every class archived and arranged by class and topic, ready for review whenever you need them. Or, if you’re new to the site and would like to start at the beginning of a class, we invite you to use this page to do just that.
