The Old Schoolhouse® provides a national competition for its second year.
GRAY, Tenn. - Nov 7, 2023 - PRLog -- The National Academic Homeschool Competition began November 1, 2023, with registration closing soon. Students seeking college scholarships for the 2024–2025 academic year still have time to raise their SAT and ACT scores before upcoming deadlines. Many scholarships are awarded to students with exceptional scores. Homeschooled students ages 12–18 are invited to participate in the Second Annual National Academic Homeschool Competition, developed to help prepare for the SAT, ACT, and college admissions process. "If your child is considering college in the future, this competition is for them," states Terry Wilfong of College Options Foundation®. "We have designed this test to challenge, motivate, and prepare homeschoolers eager to succeed academically."
A parent of one of the champions from last year's event is adamant that the prize money is perfect to use as a scholarship toward college. Watch this short interview where she shares, along with her daughter, about their family's experience. Hear from another mom of an NAHC winner how her son used NAHC-sponsor CTCMath to help prepare for the NAHC tests. Colleges, including NAHC-sponsor Colorado Christian University, are eager to see applications cross their desks from homeschooled students.
