SchoolhouseTeachers.com has classes for the three R’s: reading, writing, and arithmetic. Each month Michelle Miller puts together a suggested reading list which can be found on the Family tab. March’s book recommendations are geared toward the study of civics. In Writing, Janice Campbell continues her look at Around the World in Eighty Days with this last week of March giving students the opportunity to be creative. Don’t forget Sharon Watson’s Writing class that discusses techniques for writing advertisements. This is a three-week course for teens, after which they can apply for a writing position with The Old Schoolhouse Magazine. As for arithmetic, help your students with their Pre-Algebra skills with Charlene Johnson as she finishes out the month showing us how algebraic equations are used in everyday life.
