Exercise Your Mind and Body
Spring is a great time to get out and exercise. Enjoy the warmer weather and the crisp, clean air. Let it improve your mood. Follow Bethany Learn’s Family Fitness lessons and see how the proper alignment of our bones also affects our attitudes. While you’re exercising your body and improving your mood, exercise your mind as well with Schoolhouse Spelling. There are five levels of lessons: Pre-K through high school. Each level focuses on one list for an entire week, and each day has a different activity to encourage repetition of the words so that the student will become familiar with how they are spelled.
High schoolers can also exercise their creativity this month with Rebekah Bell’s Public Speaking course. This month, she teaches students about the different types of interpretative speeches, provides videos to see other students in action, and encourages them to choose one type to perform. The memorization and quick thinking that are necessary for these kinds of speeches is certainly an exercise for the mind!
