Classics-Based Writing with Janice Campbell is a writing course for middle schoolers and high schoolers that enables students to gain a greater appreciation for classical literature, helps them recognize excellent writing and understand various literary terms and techniques, provides an expanded vocabulary, and promotes deep reading, copying, and transformation. Eleven classical works of literature are discussed, and students are encouraged to create their own independent works of literature. In Classical History with Jennifer Courtney, elementary and middle school students will gain a greater understanding of the people groups mentioned in the Bible. This course can be used to supplement your own studies of the New Testament. Written lessons with reading assignments and activities are provided, as well as links to slide shows, videos, and additional resources. There are 29 weekly lessons that include such topics as the Age of Ancient Empires, The Exodus, The Conquests, Israel’s United Kingdom, Founding of Rome, Jews Rebuild the Temple, Golden Age of Greece, Persia Falls to Alexander the Great, Paul’s Missionary Journeys and the Greeks, Constantine Legalizes Christianity, Augustine of Hippo, Council of Chalcedon, The Fall of Rome, and more.
