blog all around the world

The way our economy functions is a result of the way situations around the world are resolved. One country’s economy impacts another’s. We are dependent on each other, and we can certainly learn from each other. Economics with Mike Sims is a middle school/high school course that discusses the function of economics in various sectors of society, as well as studies twelve economists throughout history and whether governments should intervene in markets or not. Through reading assignments, videos, research projects, PowerPoint presentations, news stories, review questions, and self-tests, students who successfully complete all lessons can earn one academic credit. Some of the topics are Chocolate Economics, Pirate Economics, Gamma Ray Economics, Football Economics, Urban Economics, Christmas Budgets, and Ski Slope Economics. As you look at economics on a global scale, why not study the globe? A Splash of Geography with Terri Johnson is a twelve-month course intended for students in elementary through high school. Through printable lessons, color and blackline maps, and geography-based quizzes, students will learn about modern and ancient Europe, Jacques Cartier and Sacagawea, Industrial England, Historic James Towne, Plymouth Colony, Native American tribal groups, The Holy Land, Earth and its atmosphere, and St. Patrick, as well as information about countries and US states.
