Don’t you love buffet restaurants? All of those options for one low price? You can choose from a number of entrees, side dishes, and desserts. You can keep going back to the buffet until you are full. SchoolhouseTeachers.com is an educational buffet. There are more than 100 courses for everyone from preschool through moms and dads. There are main courses (full-year offerings in math, science, language arts, history, etc.). There are sides (electives) such as photography and wildlife adventures, and there are many desserts, things like puzzles and menus (where you can really find dessert!). Wildlife Adventures is taught by Kelli Becton and offers the entire family a short but detailed look at a variety of animals including bald eagles, manatees, frogs, and jellyfish, just to name a few. Kelli uses videos, photos, fun activities, and copywork to teach about these animals, and she encourages students to create a nature notebook. Michele Peterson teaches our Photography course. High school and middle school students can spend 30 weeks learning about the functions of the camera, composition and elements of design, how to photograph food and take portraits, and how to bless other through their newly acquired photography skills.
