Are You Up for the Challenge?

blog are you up for challenge

Summer’s halfway over. We’ve probably all gotten pretty relaxed and our brains are on their way to being mush, right? Snap out of it! I challenge you to a Photography Challenge. Weekly photography challenges with Michele Peterson is for students of all ages who are new to photography and those who have been the family photographer for years. You can decide how to complete them, and perhaps they will give you other ideas for doing your own challenges. These challenges will not necessarily teach you how to take a picture or how to use your camera (Michele teaches a separate class about that), though there will be some tips along the way. The other challenge is Savannah Liston’s Free Market Economics. Savannah is a homeschool graduate and teacher of several economics courses. Her course on SchoolhouseTeachers.com comes complete with video lectures and online readings, reading and writing assignments, quizzes, a midterm, and a final exam. She discusses topics such as natural monopolies and time preference, the process of production, equilibrium and supply/demand, and entrepreneurs and economic growth. This is a 24-week course for high school and middle school students. If all assignments and readings are completed, they can receive one-half economics credit. If essay assignments are completed along with all other assignments, this course may be counted for one full high school credit.
