Bringing Order from Chaos
SchoolhouseTeachers.com has brought a little disorder to the mix. How can this be a good thing, you ask? Don’t worry. The disorder doesn’t last long. Daily Puzzlers is a fun way for kids to bring order from the chaos—and use some critical thinking skills. Once they retrieve the specified letter tiles from their bag of letters, they are given some clues. Using these clues, they will form words from only the letter tiles available. For instance, daily puzzler #67 has students pull r-h-l-e-c-i-p-o-t-e from their bags. One of the clues is, “Make a four-letter word to name a public disturbance.” This is also an excellent way to learn some new vocabulary. As the kids make order from chaos, so can the parents. With Leslie Jacobs’ Everyday Organization, you’re sure to come across some valuable tips for organizing your home and life. I love tip #111: “When a bad mood hits, watch TV bloopers online for a great pick-me-up.” Leslie shares so many invaluable tips and common sense suggestions.
