While there are a variety of ways to homeschool, many choose the Charlotte Mason Homeschooling method or elements of it. Through sixteen weekly lessons, Cindy West takes us on a virtual tour of this method. If you have questions about Charlotte Mason, you’ll likely have them answered here. Cindy discusses living literature, copywork and dictation, artist studies, hymn studies, life skills, a love for God’s Word, habit training, and so on. If you’ve made the decision to use the Charlotte Mason method, you can begin early with Charlotte Mason Preschool. Brittney Jordan has provided six self-contained units that focus on nature study, living books, handicrafts, and fine arts. The themes for the units include snow and ice, which is perfect for this time of year; birds; insects; gardening; weather; and colors in nature. To encourage your preschoolers, SchoolhouseTeachers.com has a number of certificates in the Schoolhouse Preschool Certificate Gallery that you can print out and write their name on the blanks. They’ll have such a feeling of accomplishment to see their certificate on the refrigerator or on their bedroom wall!
