College . . . Are You Ready?
This school year is nearly halfway over. Are you ready for your high schooler to go to college or to start applying to colleges? Have they done any research on scholarships? Denise Ames can assist them—and you—in this journey in her College Choice Guidance course. Seventeen monthly units split into weekly lessons will help high school students to stay on track with their planning. They will be challenged with assignments and schedules and will be given direction as to where they can find scholarships. They will also look at future trends such as the decrease in the number of physicians, gadget-happy socieites, and “green” housing booms to examine whether or not these trends will affect their plans. When your high school students are ready to start applying to colleges, they’ll want to be sure to have taken Sharon Watson’s Writing: The College Admission Essay course. In just two lessons, Sharon helps them gain the confidence and understanding needed to produce an intelligent and well-written college admission essay.
