Students of all ages can color their world with the art classes on SchoolhouseTeachers.com. Drawing with Realism is a course designed for middle and high school students. Through weekly video demonstrations and step-by-step instructions, Jan Bower helps students develop or improve their drawing skills. She shows the how-tos of creating realistic drawings. Four-lesson units/projects give students an opportunity to draw a variety of objects, each with a different texture, using pencil, charcoal, and colored pencil. Elementary Art with Jennifer Hawkins focuses on a different area of art in each unit. The first unit is a twelve-week study of the masters that includes a brief biography of each artist, what type of medium/style made him/her famous, a suggested reading list, and information about some of the artist’s works. Elementary students can imitate the artist and create art in unique and memorable ways.
