Computer Programming and Classic Plays
What do computer programming and classic plays have in common? They both require input to achieve favorable output. Computer Science/Programming with Chris Yust will provide 6th-12th grade students the input through hands-on projects in a self-study environment in order to facilitate an understanding of various programming topics such as HTML, Greenfoot, Minecraft Mods, JavaScript, Java programs in Eclipse, Lego Digital Designer, Tinkercad, and Digital Logic. Weekly printables come with step-by-step instructions on each month’s topic so students can produce programs that work correctly. One-half credit can be granted upon successful completion of this course. In the Limelight with RachelAnn Rogish takes an in-depth look at a number of classic plays. Besides the typical interpretation of the play, Rachel also delves into the Biblical truths that can be learned from each one. Students in elementary school through high school can then take what they’ve learned to produce and perform in a play of their own.
